Colleen Adams, 86, Owatonna

Colleen Adams, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and longtime resident of Owatonna, passed away Oct. 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owatonna. Friends may greet the family from 9-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church before Mass. A parish rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at church.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1938.

Colleen and her husband, Carl, made their home in Owatonna, where they owned and operated Adams Food Market from 1968 to 1998. Together, they raised five children and built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and community.

A devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Colleen’s faith guided her throughout her life. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, chasing her grandchildren around, and attending the many sporting events of both her children and grandchildren. Her warmth and laughter filled every gathering.

Colleen married the love of her life, Carl Adams, in 1959, and together they shared more than 60 years of love and partnership.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Stephanie (Steve) Hagen, Scott (Peggy) Adams, Suzanne (Jeff) Miedema, Mike Adams, and Randy Adams, along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Colleen’s family and friends will forever cherish her kindness, devotion, and the countless memories she created with them.
