Danika Larsen Hinz, 44, Eagan

Danika Larsen Hinz, 44, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, at her home in Eagan. She will be dearly missed by surviving family, including her two precious sons, Harrison (6) and Xander (5), parents, Steven and Pamela (Mau) Larsen, her older brother, Troy Larsen, and his wife, Brianne, along with their son, Lucas (8). She also has several aunts, uncles, and cousins who survive her.

She will be greeted in heaven by her four grandparents. Danika Larsen Hinz was born on June 2, 1979, in Owatonna. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1998 and furthered her education at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in architecture with a minor in marketing and design. She loved her family and cherished her friends very much. Harrison and Xander were the light of her life! Danika’s fighting spirit and compassion will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Danika’s Life is scheduled on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Owatonna, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Danika was an amazingly talented artist, designer, and architect. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations in her honor be made to the Owatonna Arts Center or a charity of your choice.
