Iowa died
Friday,
March 12,
2016 in
Yuma, Arizona.
Diane was born January 19,
1948 in Rochester to Donald
and Mildred (Simmons) Jones.
Diane graduated from Kasson-
Mantorville High School
in 1966. She then attended
Rochester State Junior College
where she received an Associate
of Arts Degree in 1968. It was
there that she met her future
husband, David Berg. They
were married in Rochester on
June 7, 1969.
Following college, Diane
worked as a Dietary Aide at St.
Mary’s Hospital in Rochester
for three years. After Dave was
discharged from the Army,
they moved to Cresco where
she worked for J.C. Penney in
Cresco until it closed. She then
worked for many years as a
bookkeeper for Gosch’s Plumbing
and Heating until retiring in
2013.
Diane was a long time
member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church where she sang in the
choir and served as Treasurer.
Diane enjoyed spending time
at the family cabin in northern
Minnesota, canning vegetables
from their garden, riding their
motorcycle with Dave and had
recently started quilting.
Diane is survived by her
husband Dave of Cresco; two
children: Jennifer Sheeler of
Ames, Iowa and Eric (Jessica)
Berg of The Colony, Texas; four
grandchildren: Taylor, Case,
Ethan and Adelynne; her father,
Donald Jones of Oakdale, Minnesota;
and one sister, Marilyn
(Tom) Agrimson of Stillwater,
Minnesota. She is preceded in
death by her mother, Mildred
and her grandson, Aidan Christopher.
Funeral Services were held
11a.m., Monday at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Cresco.
Interment followed in New Oregon
Cemetery, rural Cresco.
