Diane Van Ravenhost, 77, Owatonna

Diane Louise Van Ravenhorst, 77, of Owatonna, passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1946, in Spencer, Iowa, to Harold and Theresa (Tragger) Brigham. She attended schools in Britt, Iowa and Hayfield, Minn., and graduated from Hayfield High School 1964. After high school, she attended beautician school in Austin. She worked in multiple different hair salons throughout the years.

She married James “Hoss” Van Ravenhorst on March 18, 1977. Together they raised six children: Tammy, Beth, Vicky, Darin, Mike and Kelli.

Diane ended her working career at Walmart, where she worked as a greeter. Diane was a very active member at Grace Baptist Church in Owatonna and volunteered a lot of her time with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) of Owatonna. She enjoyed spending time with family and socializing with friends, camping, flower gardening and antique shopping.

She is survived by her husband James “Hoss”; her six children; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Frank, Deborah, Derwin, and Arlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may greet the family from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church the following day. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Tolosa presiding.
