Diantha Chell, 71, Medford

Diantha G. Chell, age 71, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, in Medford.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Di was born to parents John and Grace (Sturtevant) Martner in Minneapolis. She graduated from Eden Prairie High School.

Of all the jobs she worked in her life, she seemed most to enjoy her time working at Costco where she continually was meeting new people yet had connections with her regulars. She truly made an impact with many. It was obvious she made it her mission to brighten people's day, everyone will remember her as the “pink lady.”

Anywhere Di went she always brought her great smile, made friends quickly, made an effort to see the positive side of things and last but not least she was a “hoot!” She had a great sense of humor and it was fun seeing her bring joy and laughter to many.

Di loved her time with family, especially sleepovers where there were extra cuddles involved. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and her time in the kitchen. She loved sharing food ideas with family, although she could not leave a recipe alone; she was always tweaking it to put her own flair to it.

Di is survived by daughters, Rebecca (Bryan) Madsen, of Owatonna, and Elizabeth Chell, Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Jordan (Shayla), Hunter, Doug, Brittany, Diantha, Xander, Ricky; great grandchildren, Blake, Lauren, Kinsley, Audrey; siblings, Glen, Gene (Brooke).
