Elwood Stendel, 84, Meriden Township

Elwood L. Stendel, age 84 of Meriden Township, died on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at home.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Meriden, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Billie Jo Wicks officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Elwood Louis, the son of Harvey and Ada (Groskreutz) Stendel, was born Dec. 9, 1939 in Waseca. He graduated from Southern School of Agriculture, Waseca. Elwood was a lifelong farmer in Meriden Township, he served on the township board and was very active in his church.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth (and Janice) Stendel; nephews, Jeff (and Barb) Stendel, Mark Stendel and Wayne Stendel, all of Owatonna; great nieces and nephews, Jennifer (and Rick) Lee of Brainerd, Samantha Haberman of Blooming Prairie, Kenneth (and Liz) Schuler of Owatonna, Alexis Stendel (and Ren) of Faribault, Tanner (and Bella) Stendel of Great Falls, Mt.
