Emergency crews respond to fatality near Medford

A 35-year-old Waseca man died on Monday, Dec. 7 while working on his semi equipment.
According to Steele County Sheriff Lon Thiele, Brandon Tune, of Waseca, was unresponsive when emergency personnel responded to the scene just after 5 p.m. on Monday, in the Northwest corner of Deerfield Township. Tune had been working on equipment for his semi when he fatally injured himself.
Sheriff Thiele said that he believes the incident would most likely be ruled as an accidental death. At the time, however, this information has not been officially confirmed.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Rescue, Morristown Fire, Gold Cross Ambulance responded the incident.
According to his obituary, Tune enjoyed working in his shop and had worked for Wayne Transport, of Rosemount.
