Evon Wobschall, 83, Owatonna

Evon C. Wobschall, age 83, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, in Owatonna.

Friends may greet the family Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the Brick- Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home, Owatonna.

Evon was born to parents Manual and Magdalen (Kubat) Larson in Owatonna. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1958.

She worked a few various jobs after high school before starting a lifelong career at Truth Hardware that lasted 44 years.

Evon married Duane Wobschall on Oct. 20, 1962, at First Lutheran Church in Hope. Evon and Duane liked to travel; they especially loved taking yearly fishing trips up north with the whole family.

Evon loved to make lefse and would make it at home and at the Senior Place. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and canning. Most of all, Evon loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her family will miss playing cards with her. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma.

Evon is survived by her husband of 61 years, Duane; children, Gary (Kim) Wobschall and Brian (Janet) Wobschall, all of Owatonna; grandchildren: Tanner (Jessica) Wobschall, Kelsey (Derek) Halla, Trevor Wobschall, Kaylyn Wobschall, and Luke Wobschall; four great grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
