Highway 218 temporarily closed due to medical incident

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, a portion of Highway 218, near Dodge Mower Road in Blooming Prairie, was temporarily closed while Mayo One responded to a medical incident.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., Blooming Prairie emergency crews were called to Dodge Mower Road, just off State Highway 218, for a medical emergency. The road was open once again shortly after noon on Wednesday.
According to Blooming Prairie Police Chief Greg Skillestad, the incident technically occurred in Dodge County, but local emergency personnel responded. The Blooming Prairie Police Department, Blooming Prairie Ambulance Department, Blooming Prairie Fire Department and Mayo One assisted at the scene.
Due to privacy laws, the nature of the medical incident has not been released.
