Plans for scheduled events on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Governor’s Pheasant Opener have been altered as the forecast predicts inclement weather in southern Minnesota.

Events shifting their locations are the Somerset WMA Public Land Celebration and the public food truck event – accompanied by its scheduled live music.

According to a release sent out by Explore Minnesota, both events will be moved to the Beer Garden Building at the Steele County Fairgrounds with the land celebration slated for 4:30 p.m. and food trucks opening up immediately following the end of the ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

The Beer Garden Building can be found at the southern entrance of the fairgrounds, just due west of the grandstand and south of the Four Season Centre.

According to Explore Minnesota, all media tours scheduled for Friday will take place at their original 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. windows.

Information regarding the Governor’s Pheasant Opener is fluid and will be updated in accordance to word from Explore Minnesota and the Department of Natural Resources.
