Michael "Mike" Roger Rosecke, 60, Owatonna

Michael “Mike” Roger Rosecke, 60, of Owatonna died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022.

Mike was born Feb. 20, 1962, in Owatonna, to Roger and Joyce (Johnson) Rosecke.

After attending Owatonna High School, he worked for Crane Creek Asphalt. He later worked as a welder for Aconite out of Rochester and Local 6 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union with his dad.

He married Barb Simmons on June 30, 1984, and they later divorced. They had two children, Jeremy and Melissa.

Mike was a member of Aurora Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his son Jeremy (and Melissa) Rosecke of Owatonna, and his daughter Melissa Rosecke of Maplewood; his siblings: brother Thomas Rosecke, sister Kelly (and Kelli) Plotz, and sister Kimberly Esparza; and his four grandchildren, Alec, Kaden, Elizabeth, and Isabelle.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at Aurora Lutheran Church, Owatonna, with Pastor Clark Baldwin officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Interment followed the service at Aurora Lutheran Church Cemetery.
