Patricia Fischer, 88, Rochester

Patricia Mae Fischer, age 88 of Rochester, passed away on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester. Pat was born Aug. 3,1934, in Owatonna, the daughter of Pete and Opal Kotz. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1952.

On Oct. 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Fischer in Owatonna. They made their home in Hope for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and also worked various other jobs during her lifetime. She and Bob raised and showed Arabian Horses all over the United States. She was a member of the Minnesota Arabian Horse Association for several years, a 4-H leader, member of the High Hopes Extension Club for many years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and competing at the Steele County Fair, for several years in Culinary Arts. During her lifetime, she enjoyed time spent with family, furniture refinishing, gardening, canning, flowers, bird watching, fishing, camping, time with the horses and other family pets and BINGO. Survivors include her daughter, Candee Fischer of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, and brother and sister-in-law John and Darlene Kotz. Memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Church, Hospice, Humane Society or donor's choice. Special thank you to St. Marys Domitilla 6 and Eisenberg 7-station 74 for their wonderful care, during her final days. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 at Brick-Meger Funeral Home. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service.
