Jacquelyn Evans, 42, Duluth
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Marie Evans of Duluth, passed away on Nov. 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Friends may greet the family from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, and one hour prior to the funeral Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 S. Elm, Owatonna. There will be a parish rosary recited at the funeral home on Friday at 6 p.m.
Jackie was born to Frank R. and LaRae L. (Hagel) Evans in Rochester. She grew up in Owatonna and graduated from OHS in 2001. She had a love for gymnastics and competed from a young age through high school. Jackie attended college in Rochester, U of M Duluth, and Lake Superior College. Jackie made her home in Duluth, where she worked for the Green Mill restaurant in Canal Park as general manager.
Jackie was known for her big heart, sense of humor, and her ability to make everyone laugh. Time spent with family and friends was always cherished by Jackie. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious. Jackie was a peacemaker who always wanted to make everyone happy. Being the youngest of three girls, she was and always will be known as “daddy’s little baby girl.” She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of her life.
Jackie is survived by her parents, sisters; Amanda Evans (Jim Elmore) and Katie Edel (Jeff), nephew Anthony Young, and nieces; Cameryn Edel, McKenna Edel. Aunts and uncles; Cheri Evans, Tom and Jan Evans, Mike and Patty Evans, Greg and Joanne Evans, Patrick Evans, Tom Berube, Jim and Linda Berube, Curtis and Dodie Hagel, Terry and Denise Marback, David Hagel, Darrel and Shelly Peltier and many cousins and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myron Evans, Alice (Evans) and Fortune Berube, Ray and Lois Hagel, aunts and uncles; Lindy and Linda Carlson, Jim Evans, Ron and Cecile Reynolds, Bill Berube, and cousins; Luke Evans and Aaron Peltier.
