James Buecksler, 72, Owatonna

James “Jim” Lester Buecksler, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.

Jim was born on Nov. 3, 1950, in Owatonna, to Lester and Jean (Ferguson) Buecksler. Jim attended schools in Owatonna. Following school he drove a truck for many years.

Jim loved to be a practical jokester with his family; spending time on the lake fishing and hunting and making memories with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his father Lester Buecksler; daughter, Tracee Underwood and her children Brody and Paiton of Pueblo, Colorado; son, Kris (Renee) Buecksler and Jace Buecksler, Travis (Jessica) Olson, Heidi (Issac) Schuller of Owatonna; stepchildren, Sara (Eric) Sletten and their children, Easton, Savana and Brennan of Owatonna; Todd (Heidi) Kraft and their children, Kaiyanna, Dominick, Chase and Aaliyah of Owatonna; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Georgia, Gracie, Evan, Ethan, Kyrie and Lincoln; brother, Gerald “Jerry” (Valerie) Buecksler.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Ruth, and mother Jean Buecksler.

A memorial visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 at Victory Church, 1380 Rice Lake Road, Owatonna.
