Jayne Beth Hoffmann, 64, Dodge Center

Jayne Beth Hoffmann, 64, passed away on Jan. 31, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
Jayne was born in Knox, Ind., the daughter of Robby L. and Barbara (Bennett) Gilliland on March 2, 1954. The family moved to Dodge Center in 1960. She graduated from Dodge Center High School, Cottey College in Nevada, Mo., and received her BS Degree from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Mo.
In 1981, she married Mark Hoffmann and they were later divorced.
Jayne taught fourth and fifth grade in the Pine Island School District for 35 years. She loved children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved summer vacations at the lake and working in her flower beds in her backyard.
Jayne is survived by her son Eric (Jodi) Hoffmann, Denham Springs, La. and daughter Hillary (Cody) Laue, Dodge Center. Also surviving are grandchildren Peyton, Harper, Pierson, Jaycelin and Grant; mother Barbara Gilliland, Dodge Center; siblings Bennett (Pamela) Gilliland, Dodge Center; William (Kathleen) Gilliland, Potomac, Md., nephew; Robby Gilliland; nieces Carly, Abby, Sydney Gilliland, Kelsey (Sean) Reilly and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends was held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home.
