Judd Jacobson, 77, Owatonna

Judd “Jake” Jacobson, age 77, passed away on July 22, 2026, in Owatonna, surrounded by his family.

Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna, with a time of remembrance to begin at 12 noon.

Jake was born in Fairmont, to Jake and Mary Jane (Roebuck) Jacobson. He graduated from Owatonna High School and attended St. Cloud State University.

Jake worked as a powerline engineer for Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric and was a member of the Steele County Sheriff’s Department Special Posse.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and cowboy action shooting competitions through the Single Action Shooting Society. Jake will also be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to tell a good story.

Jake is survived by his wife, Sue Jacobson; children, Nicole Jacobson (Josef Gaskill) and Erik (MaRita) Jacobson; stepdaughter, Kathleen Reilly; granddaughter, Zoe Jacobson; sister, Judy (Tom) Rowley; and nephews, Matt (Kim) Rowley and Greg (Sara) Rowley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
