Judith Mueller, 86, Owatonna

Judith Ann Mueller, 86, of Owatonna, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 at Birchwood Cottages.

She was born March 29, 1937 in Owatonna to Donald and Alice (Wilker) Stewart. The family moved to California from 1941 to 1945 before returning to Owatonna. Judy graduated from Owatonna High School as a member of the 1955 class.

Judy had aspirations of becoming a flight attendant, but life provided her the avenue of raising three children with Jerome “Jerry” Mueller, the man of our lives, and they were married on Feb. 26, 1966. Judy worked for Federated Insurance, JC Penney, and then worked with her Husband Jerry at Quality Motors.

Judith loved to go fishing and riding on the pontoon, reading books on the deck at the lake. She also loved to go snowmobiling, playing cards, having holiday meals with family and friends, and her beloved poodles and parrot.

She is survived by her children, Karen Nieman of Anchorage, Alaska, Kevin (and Kim) Mueller of Grand Ronde, Ore., Jeff Mueller of Owatonna; brother, Richard Stewart of Rochester; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Mueller; parents, Donald and Alice Stewart; brothers, Chuck Stewart, Donald Stewart; sister, Nancy Utpadel.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
