Judy Dahl, 76, Owatonna

Judy L. Dahl, 76, of Owatonna passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 18, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born July 17, 1946 in Owatonna to Judeen and Ruby (Hassell) Jensen. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1964. She worked at Wenger until she retired.

Judy married Ted Stowers and they later divorced. She then married the love of her life, Curtis Dahl, in Blooming Prairie, on Feb. 24, 1990. They celebrated their marriage with family and friends later that spring.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time tending her flowers, sitting around a fire or the patio, watching the birds (especially cardinals), reading and going to casinos.

She is survived by her loving husband, Curtis; daughters Kelli (John) DeMorrett and Melissa Stowers; grandchildren Jordan (Kelci), Mitchell (Samantha), Weston (Alysha) DeMorrett, Devin (Ashley)Zilm, and Daysha (Gabe) Kartes; great-grandchildren Mia, Jett, Emersyn, Daxtin and Grady; sister Jeanette Theuer; brother Sherman (Judy) Jensen; brothers-in-law Wayne (Myrna) Dahl and Vernon Dahl; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Judeen and Ruby Jensen, and brothers Ronald and Allen.

A private service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Brick-Meger Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Judy’s life at their home, 315 W. Holly St., from 1-5 p.m. that day.

Memorials are preferred to either the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie or to Allina Hospice Patient Care Fund.
