Karmen Chambers, 40, Owatonna

Karmen K. Chambers of Owatonna, passed away on Feb. 21, 2026, in Rochester.

Karmen was born Feb. 25, 1985, in Owatonna to Stan and Karla Barnes. She attended Owatonna schools and graduated from Owatonna High School with the Class of 2003. During her senior year, she participated in post-secondary education at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2006.

Karmen began her professional life working alongside her parents at their family business, McCarthy Plumbing. She later began her career with Sterling Long Term Care Pharmacy, where her co-workers quickly became like an extended family to her.

Karmen met the love of her life, Jason, in April 2017. They were united in marriage in November 2020.

Karmen was always the life of the party. Whether dressed up for a special occasion or just loafing around, she always liked to look good. Karmen was loved by many, and a friend to all she met. When not at work or with family or friends she would have cuddle time with her beloved cats Axel, Millie and Boots. Karmen will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jason; her stepson, Lucas; her parents, Stan and Karla; her parents-in-law Beverly and Don; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Funeral Service is set for Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at the funeral home.
