Kay Powers, 64, Indian Trail, N.C.

Kay Renee Powers, 64, of Indian Trail passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 after a two year long battle with cancer.Kay was born in Zumbrota on Aug. 9, 1955, daughter of the late Warren Wyttenbach and Marilyn Geise Wyttenbach. She was a loving wife and celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary this past June 22, 2019. Kay was an exceptional mother and grandmother. She spent many days with her grandchildren cooking, reading, baking and involving them in church activities. They considered her their best friend. 
Kay had a passion for music. She enjoyed playing piano and participated in multiple choirs. She cultivated lifelong, devoted and meaningful friendships with many throughout her life.  
She is survived by her husband Dennis; son Christopher and wife Bobbi (grandchildren Gracieann, Katherine and Caroline) and son Patrick. She is also survived by her sister Dianne (Thomas), brothers Walt (Jeanie) and Dick (Tammy) and their families.We will forever cherish the memories created with her and look back fondly with love in our hearts.Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Cross & Crown Lutheran Church, Matthews, N.C. 
Services will also be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church in Mantorville.
Memorial gifts will be distributed to the following: C&C Lutheran Church, Melody Makers or Charlotte Singers and Levine Cancer Institute.  Please indicate any preferences.
