Keith Prokopec, 64, Owatonna

Keith Prokopec, 64, of Owatonna, passed away on April 15, 2026.

Keith was born on Dec. 13, 1961, to Joe and Lorraine Prokopec.

Keith married Lori Bjorge in 1983, and together they had two children, Michael and Scott; they later divorced.

Keith had a passion for fishing, camping, and entertaining friends. He particularly loved lake life at the cabins he built and owned over the years. Always ready with a joke, Keith enjoyed making people laugh and cherished his lunch outings with his sons.

His greatest joy, however, was watching his grandchildren play sports and seeing them fish. Keith was also known for his hard work and his ability to build or create anything.

Keith is survived by his parents, Joe and Lorraine; his brother, Don (Lory) Prokopec; his sister, Jean Vack; his grandchildren, Poppy and Kaden Prokopec; and several nieces and nephews.
