Lois Ciffra, age 71, of Owatonna, obituary

Lois Ciffra, age 71, of Owatonna, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with family by her side, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community, Owatonna, under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Dodge Center, on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Robert Lentz officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday, July 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Lois, the daughter of Albert V. and Arlene B. (Schlobohm) Ciffra, was born February 20, 1955, in Faribault. She graduated from Kenyon High School in 1973 and graduated from Mankato Commercial College. Lois worked as an administrator in the music department at St. Olaf College for three years. She then worked at Federated Insurance for over 32 years as a voice communications manager and later voice tech services manager for all offices. Lois was active in her church as an organist for 55 years, Sunday school teacher, Jesus Company teacher, Altar Guild and VBS. She enjoyed attending nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews activities and other family events.

She is survived by siblings, Norman (Jeanne) Ciffra of Nevis, Jo Ann (Bernie) Scherger of Dodge Center, Joyce Ciffra of Owatonna, Laura (Rev. Harold) Storm of Medford, Karen (John) Cutting of Byron, Albert D. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Arlene E. Scherger, and many aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Memorials are preferred to Camp Omega, Waterville, MN, The Lutheran Hour or Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN.
