Marilee Vore, 84, Owatonna

Marilee Ann Vore passed away March 3, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community, Owatonna.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the memorial service, starting at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will follow at the Owatonna V.F.W. Post 3723, 135 Oakdale St., Owatonna.

Marilee was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Minot, N.D., to parents Sanford and Myrtle (Johnson) Tompson. She attended Minot High School.

She married Lonnie Vore on Jan. 19, 1962. He passed away June 18, 2019.

Marilee was known for the wide variety of cards she created, ranging from get-well and veterans’ cards to birthday cards.

Marilee is survived by her son, Jordon Vore, one grandson Tyler Vore, and one sister Vonnie Thraen; nieces and nephews, Melody, Rob, Scott, Shelly, Lorie, Larry, Mike, Sue, Cindy, Cheri, Jeff, and Jan; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie, parents, stepfather, Claud Hunter, and siblings, James, Gary, and Wade.

Memorials are preferred to the Owatonna V.F.W. Post 3723 or Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Owatonna.
