Nancy Scholljegerdes, 90, Owatonna

Nancy Grace Scholljegerdes, age 90, of Owatonna, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 24, 2023. She was born on June 13, 1933, to Lacey and Mildred (Fleming) Thisthwaite.

On Dec. 4, 1950, Nancy married LeRoy Scholljegerdes and they had three children: Bonita ‘Bonnie”, LeRoy Jr. (Infant) and David. Nancy and LeRoy had a mink ranch west of Medford. It was a family-owned business for 42 years where Nancy devoted all those years working hard. Nancy loved her flower beds out on the farm.

After LeRoy died in 1996, Nancy moved to Owatonna. There again, she had beautiful flower gardens. She loved her home in Owatonna on Brooktree Golf Course. For nine years her little dog TT kept her company. She enjoyed watching the birds on her deck as well as golfers passing by. Along with her bird watching Nancy collected bird figurines.

She is survived by her daughter Bonita Moeller, and son David Scholljegerdes; grandchildren, Kimberly (Kevin) Lang and Brian Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Cash and Kendall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, LeRoy; Infant son LeRoy Jr; brother George; sisters Betty, Bev, Jean and Sandy.

Private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Medford.
