Karen Hale was born and raised in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is a proud graduate of Arizona State University – Go Devils! She spent the majority of her career in corporate insurance operations, gaining valuable experience with companies like American States, Prudential and USAA.

Hale moved to Owatonna after her daughter, Jordan, met and married an Owatonna native, Zach Olson. Well, there was no way Hale was going to miss out on all the fun to come, so she packed up her life and made a bold reverse migration – from the warm Arizona sun to Minnesota winters! She couldn’t be happier with her decision. Today, she is the proud grandmother of three wonderful granddaughters: Joelle, Tatum and Kennedy.

As the owner and operator of Mineral Springs Marketing, Hale quickly connected with the team at Steele County Times, building a strong and rewarding partnership that continues to thrive. She values the collaboration and creativity that comes from working alongside the Times’ team and is dedicated to helping local businesses shine.
