Oleta Martin, 89, Owatonna

Oleta Jan Martin died Feb. 12, 2023, in Owatonna.

She was born August 24, 1933, in Gary, Indiana to parents Clinton and Fern (Harrison) Flemming.

Oleta lived half of her life in California and half of her life in Owatonna. She became a widow when her husband Bud Martin passed away. She was full of life and enjoyed all her friends that came over to play cards with her. She worked most of her life and her final employment was with Motel 6 in Owatonna. She retired and fully enjoyed it. She became ill in the last two years, and her son Barton took care of her up until her death.

Oleta is survived by three sons and one daughter: Barton Reeves, Douglas Reeves, Gregory Reeves and Robin Saunders. She will be missed by everyone who loved her and especially her dogs, Coco, Bella and her cat Pumpkin. May our mom rest in peace.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Medford Funeral Home, 310 E Central, Medford. After the memorial, burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery.
