Otilla Anderson

Otilla Anderson,107, lifelong resident of Blooming Prairie and currently of Mankato, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at Oaklawn Healthcare Center in Mankato.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. Burial was held at the Danish Baptist Cemetery.

Otilla was born April 13, 1910 in Blooming Prairie to Wencl and Josephine (Blazek) Haberman. She was united in marriage to Ormond Anderson on Sept. 5, 1935 in St. Paul. Together, they owned and operated Anderson Garage and Service Station in Blooming Prairie. In addition, they raised two daughters, Margo and Nancy. Otilla was an active member of Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. She enjoyed painting homemade greeting cards and decorative eggs, gardening, sewing, and baking cinnamon rolls.
Otilla is survived by her daughters, Margo (Dean) Brudwick of Mankato and Nancy Wooldridge of Mankato; grandchildren, Jody (David) Schlichte of North Mankato, Julie (Steve) Kjellgren of St. Peter, Jeffrey (Becky) Brudwick of North Mankato, Anton (Jeanette) Wooldridge of Mapleton, and Brad (Tina) Wooldridge of Fairmont; great-grandchildren, Matthew Kjellgren, Bethany (Ben) Whittier, Grace Kjellgren, Jay Schlichte, Ryan Schlichte, Macey (Conor) Wanderscheid, Kellen Brudwick, Errin Brudwick, Tanner Wooldridge, Nicholas Wooldridge, Zachary Wooldridge, Tessa Zarn, Tahlija Wooldridge, and Dominic Wooldridge; great-great-grandson, Micah Whittier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ormond in 1983; six sisters; four brothers; and grandson, Dija Wooldridge.
