Patricia Carlson, 77, Owatonna

Patricia Carlson, of Owatonna, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, in Owatonna, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Friends may greet the family Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, from 9-11 a.m. at Brick-Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Road, Owatonna. A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Brent Carlson, will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.

Patricia was born Nov. 9, 1948, to Sidney and Jeanette (Stumpf) Griffith in Warsaw, Minn. Patricia attended grade school in Warsaw and later graduated from Faribault High School with the Class of 1966.

On Aug. 16, 1969, Patricia married the love of her life, Robert Carlson, in Owatonna. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, Kristi and Tracy.

In 1976, Patricia began working at Viracon, where she remained until her retirement in 2013.

Patricia enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. She loved camping and girls’ weekends up north, needlepoint, shopping, reading, and playing games. She especially cherished spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren. Some of her happiest moments were spent relaxing and sitting out on the deck, enjoying time with family and the beauty around her.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Carlson; daughters, Kristi Westberg and Tracy (Todd) Johnson; grandsons, Jesse (Kati) Westberg, Jacob Carlson, and Christopher Byrne; step-granddaughters, Mindy (Wes) Jiminez, Staci Johnson, and Samantha Johnson; four great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Griffith; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Steven, and her in-laws.

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her loving spirit, devotion to her family, and appreciation for the simple joys in life will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that her family will treasure forever.
