Roger Gene Anderson, 57, of Aurora Township

Roger Gene Anderson, 57, of Aurora Township, Minnesota, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at his home. 
Roger was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Owatonna, the son of Raymond and Emogene (Carlson) Anderson. Roger was a 1976 graduate of Owatonna High School. Roger was the fourth generation to farm on his family farm in Aurora Township that was started by his great-great-grandfather. He raised beef cattle and crop farmed. Roger married Tamara Leroy on April 8, 2011, at Osage, Iowa. They farmed together on the family farm. 
Roger was an excellent diesel mechanic and enjoyed working on his tractors. He loved to tour the countryside looking at the area crops. Roger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Bixby. 
He is survived by his wife Tamara Anderson of rural Blooming Prairie; sister Deloris (Philip) Velzke of Owatonna; a daughter and a son; aunts, Ella Benson of Blooming Prairie and Myrtle Peterson of Ellendale; and extended family. 
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
