Rosemary Gallagher, 94, Owatonna
Rosemary Clair Conway Gallagher, 94, passed away peacefully at Timberdale Trace Owatonna on June 23, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
Rosemary was born Feb. 27, 1929, to Arthur and Alma Conway. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Waseca and graduated from Sacred Heart High School where she was the prettiest cheerleader to ever cheer on the Scarlets. She then attended St. Theresa College.
She then met the love of her life and married Emmet Gallagher on Oct. 21, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. The couple raised their family in Owatonna, and Rosemary was very active volunteering many years at St. Mary's & Marian High School.
Rosemary was "Mom" to many and friend to all. Her interests were many, with the most important being a phenomenal wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She especially enjoyed visiting and socializing with family and friends. Their house on Cedar Street and Dane Road was well-known as a gathering place for kids and adults alike. She was an exceptional cook and baker, loved to garden and so enjoyed wintering in Arizona for many years and spending time "Up North" with family and friends.
Rosemary is survived by her children: Kevin (Marie) Gallagher, Maureen Wencl, Kerry (Jackie) Gallagher, Greg (Kelly) Gallagher, Jeff (Brenda) Gallagher and Steve (Carol) Gallagher; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Emmet, infant daughter Glenette, parents and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Owatonna on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11 a.m. Parish rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friends may greet the family following the completion of the rosary and continuing until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
