Sandra Lee Shanley, 75, formerly of Blooming Prairie

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Sandra Lee Shanley (nee Youngdahl), 75, of Anoka.
Sandra was born in Chicago on Sept. 9, 1942 and died on Dec. 23, 2017. 
Sandra grew up on farms in Iowa and Blooming Prairie. She attended the University of Minnesota for her B.A. in history and M.A. in library science. Sandra was a librarian her entire life despite Multiple Sclerosis. She never stopped reading and searching out new information. 
After her MS retirement, she was a volunteer coordinator for the local Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, a volunteer caller for Family Table and the Blood Drive at Zion Lutheran in Anoka. She was a proud member of the League of Women Voters for over 30 years.
She is survived by husband Dennis and daughter Elisabeth; brothers Phillip, Douglas (Kristi), and Carl (Patricia) Youngdahl of Sacramento, Calif.; sister-in-law Linda Shanley of Woodbury; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 
Sandra is preceded in death by parents Ann (Johnson) and Anton Youngdahl of Blooming Prairie, later Paradise, Calif. 
Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Society of Minnesota in Brooklyn Park.
