Sue E. Mataczynski, 68, Blooming Prairie

Sue Mataczynski, 68, passed away on April 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness, surrounded by her family and pets. 
Sue was born on Sept. 30, 1949 in Ladysmith, Wis., to Frank and Katherine (Hendricks) Mataczynski. Sue’s family lived in Chicago until 1963 when they moved back to Wisconsin and settled in the Holcombe area. Sue graduated from Holcombe High School in 1967 and married her high school sweetheart, Dan Forbush in 1971. Together they built a home and raised a family.
Sue was passionate about her family and spent many hours preserving the pictures and memories in multiple scrapbooks. She had a love for all animals and often joked about “taking in stray kids, puppies and kitties!” She enjoyed crafting, ceramics and sewing. 
Sue is survived by her 3 children: Laura Forbush of Austin, Danny Forbush, Prescott, Wis., and Rebecca Pollard (Frank), Montgomery, Ala; grandchildren:
Jennifer Pape, Joshua Pape, Michael Pape, Shawn Payne, DeAndre Forbush, Anthony Scott, and Shemiah Scott; brother, James (Rhonda) Mataczynski; sister, Rita Ludvigsen (Gary Dixon) and several nieces and nephews.
Sue had a special love for pets, and especially enjoyed caring for rescue pets. She had a service dog, Samantha and cats, Squeaker and Tippers. 
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Katherine Mataczynski, and her husband, Daniel Forbush.
 
Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Sue’s hometown of Holcombe, Wis.
