Three Wildcats sign their letter of intent

Since the 2013 season, the Dodge County Wildcats girls hockey program has produced plenty of talent that has gone on to play collegiately. What started with Zumbrota-Mazeppa’s Lydia Wagner committing to play at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2013 turned into seven players committing to play college hockey.
Last winter, the program took another step forward when defenseman Katie Robinson became the first player in Wildcat shistory to verbally commit to a Division 1 school when she announced she would play hockey for Minnesota.
Robinson made that official on Saturday night as she was one of three Wildcats players to sign their letter of intent to begin their college hockey career next fall.
“It’s great to see,” Dodge County head coach Jeremy Gunderson stated. “A lot of the metro areas think there isn’t any good hockey in the southern part of the state, but these kids have set the bar high.”
