A pair of Blooming Prairie seniors signed letters of intent last week to play baseball at the college level.
Jared Lee and Carsten Ingvalson committed to Dakota County Technical College and Western Technical College, respectively.
Lee, who transferred to Blooming Prairie from NRHEG last year, will get his first chance to pitch for the varsity Blossoms this spring. He had to play on the junior varsity team last season, part of the transfer process.
Dakota County Tech is a Division II NJCAA school in Rosemount.
Ingvalson has been a solid catcher for BPHS and also spent some time on the mound. He will head to La Crosse, Wis., to attend Western Tech, a Division III NJCAA school.
He and Lee hope to improve on the Blossoms’ 15-7 season last year, finishing third in Section 1A.
