Bridget Johnson, 56, Owatonna

Bridget C. Johnson (Murphy), age 56, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family.Bridget was born on July 17, 1964 in Minneapolis to Gene and Mary Murphy. She grew up in Crystal. For the last 11 years, Bridget enjoyed being a registered nurse and caring for others. Bridget was a free spirit, and loved to have a good time. Some of her favorite things to do were spending time with her children and granddaughter. She loved being at the cabin, having bonfires, and spending time with her six animals. Bridget not only had a kind and generous heart for her loved ones and patients, but also opened her arms and welcomed many pets/strays alike that needed her help.
Bridget was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and grandma.She was preceded in death by her father Gene Murphy, sister Patricia, and grandpa Patrick Murphy who welcomed her at the gates of heaven. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Mary Murphy, sister Jeanne McKasy (Murphy); two brothers, Steve Murphy and Dan Murphy; daughter, Hannah Johnson; son, Jordan Lingenfelter; granddaughter Sophia Garza; husband, Steven Johnson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.The celebration of life was held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home Chapel.In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal shelter.
