Charles Torres, 24, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on June 21, 2021, unexpectedly surrounded by his family.
Charles was born on Feb. 17, 1997, to Margarita Hinojosa in Owatonna. He graduated from high school and was attending online courses with the aspirations of achieving a degree in fine arts.
Charles had many hobbies but his favorite one would have to be his love for painting. He enjoyed listening to music and letting the brush hit the canvas in ways that expressed all his emotions. Not only did he love to paint but he also loved teaching others the joys of painting. He had a kind, and gentle heart, which had all the kids looking up to him. He loved to go fishing at the lake, playing basketball and getting his best shot at the gun range. In his free time, he also enjoyed playing video games and gathering with friends.
Charles was a loving brother, son, grandson, nephew and friend who will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.He is preceded in death by his brother Pedro “Pete” Hinojosa, Jr. and nephew, Zane Bayardo who welcomed him at the gates of Heaven.He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Margarita “Maggie” Hinojosa; maternal grandparents, Carlos and Emma Torres; three sisters, Norma Jean (Joe Valentin) Hinojosa, Julie (Loeub Leng) Bayardo, Nicole (Jaylah and Catalayah) Torres; two brothers, Richard (Ginnette) Bayardo and Ray (Brenda) Bayardo III, as well as 22 nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous other relatives and friends.The Funeral viewing was held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Brick-Meger Funeral Home Chapel in Owatonna.
