Clubb, Dahnert nominated for Triple-A
Owatonna High School seniors Amanda Clubb and Zach Dahnert were nominated for the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Triple-A Award, recognizing seniors state-wide for their excellence in academics, arts and athletics.
The two have accumulated a laundry list of accomplishments on their resume during their four years as Huskies and will represent Owatonna High School during the Region 1AA selection process.
Clubb’s awards and activities include being a four-year member in the band, a one-time all-state band selection and a section leader for three years, a member of orchestra for four years and a section leader for three, as well as being a three-year starter in track and field and earning two letters in tennis.
Dahnert also brings a stellar resume to the table.
The senior standout has been a four-year varsity football player, a member of the choir for four years, a three-year track and field athlete, a three-time state participant (football, track and field) and two-time all-conference selection (football, track and field.)
According to a press release submitted by Owatonna High School, “Administrative Region 1AA will review the Triple-A nominees from its member schools and nominate one male and female to the State level. The top male and female students in the state, as determined by a points system, will be announced by MSHSL officials this upcoming Spring.
