Henry Hofer, Jr., 86, Owatonna

Henry Hofer Jr. was born on a farm near Owatonna on Nov. 15, 1934 to Henry Sr. and Cora (Benson) Hofer. He died peacefully on Sept. 22, 2021 at Homestead Hospice in Owatonna. Henry worked hard for years as a farmer and as a mason in construction. He loved fishing and hunting and was proud of his collection of deer antlers. He was also proud of his brick fire places he was able to design and build. Henry was proud of his family and no one ever loved his family more than Henry did! Henry and the love of his life, Carol (Hubbell) were married at First Baptist Church in Owatonna on Aug. 1, 1954 and raised four children, who all live close by. Survivors include: wife, Carol, of 67 years; daughters: Kim (Charlie) Olson of Bricelyn; Mary Jo (Troy) Farr of Owatonna; sons: Chris Hofer of Medford and Ernest Hofer of Owatonna; grandchildren: Heather (Tom) Ewert; Sara (Jacob) Kuehl; Kasondra (Noah) Blum; Samantha (Justin) Manderfeld; Dallas Olson; Destiny Olson and seven great grandchildren. There will be a private service for immediate family only.
